Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upload my menu PDF here?

Not directly — we don’t host files. Upload your PDF to Google Drive or Dropbox first, set it to "anyone with the link can view," then paste that link here. Takes about two minutes and means you can update the PDF any time without reprinting the QR code.

If I update my menu, do I need a new QR code?

Only if the URL changes. If you update the page on your website or replace the file on Google Drive at the same link, the QR code keeps working and shows the new version. It’s the URL that matters — not the content at the destination.

Can I use the same code for every table?

Yes. Print once, place on every table. Or generate different codes for different sections if you have a separate drinks menu, specials menu, or allergy guide. No limits on how many codes you can create.

What do customers actually see when they scan?

Their phone opens the link in their browser — they see your menu page or PDF immediately. No app download, no login. Works on the first scan for every customer.

Do customers need a special app?

No. The native camera app on any modern iPhone or Android works. If they’re using an older phone, any free QR scanner app works too.

How do I make sure it scans reliably?

Print at a minimum of 2.5–3 cm on table tents. Keep the code away from heavy shadows or reflective surfaces. Test with three different phones before placing on all tables.

Is my restaurant data stored anywhere?

No. Your menu URL and restaurant name are processed locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.

Best format for table cards?

SVG for any professional printing. PNG if you’re building a PDF table card yourself and need to embed the image.
