Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Link and Text mode?
Link opens your offer page in their browser — good for driving traffic to an online sale. Text displays the promo code on their screen — good for in-store discount codes they show at checkout. Pick based on where the transaction happens.
Does the expiry date deactivate the code?
No. The expiry date is for the preview visual only — it's not encoded and doesn't affect the code's functionality. You manage offer validity through your own store or website. The QR code itself never expires.
Can I change the discount code after printing?
No. Static code. If you rotate your promo codes, the safest approach is to link to a page on your website (not encode the code directly) — then you can update the page content without reprinting.
Is there a cost per scan?
No. No limits, no fees, no subscription. Static codes work independently of our servers.
How do customers redeem the code?
Link mode: browser opens, they shop and apply the code at checkout. Text mode: the code appears on their screen — they type it in manually or show it to staff. Simple either way.
Where do these work well?
Shop window posters, receipts, packaging inserts, social media posts (as an image), and direct mail. The dashed-border coupon aesthetic in the preview is deliberately recognisable — customers know what it means.
Is my promo data stored?
No. Generated locally, nothing sent anywhere.
Best format for print?
SVG for any professional print use.
