Frequently Asked Questions

Does QR Code Zebra process any transactions?

No. We're a formatting tool — we turn your wallet address into a scannable image. The actual transaction happens entirely between the sender's wallet app and the blockchain. We never touch your funds, we never see your balance, and we're not involved in any part of the payment.

Is it safe to enter my wallet address here?

Your address is processed locally in your browser and never sent to our servers. That said, treat any tool with appropriate caution — make sure you're on qrcodezebra.com and that your device is clean. One important note: your public wallet address is meant to be shared. It's your private key that should never leave your wallet.

Can I change the address after printing?

No. Static code — address is fixed. If you switch wallets or currencies, generate a new code. Before printing for real use, do a small test transaction first to confirm the address is correct.

What does selecting "Other" do?

It encodes your address as plain text with no URI scheme. Useful for newer or niche cryptocurrencies that don't have a standardised format yet. Most wallet apps can still recognise a raw address — but always test before using.

Why does the preview show a truncated address?

Wallet addresses are long. The preview shows the first and last few characters so you can confirm it's the right one without the full string cluttering the screen. The complete address is encoded in the QR code — nothing is cut off in the actual output.

Should I fill in the amount field?

Optional, but useful for fixed-price situations — a product, a service, a specific donation. The sender's wallet app will pre-fill the amount but they can change it. Leave it blank if you just want to receive any amount.

How do I verify the code is correct before sharing it?

Scan it with your own mobile wallet app. Confirm the address and currency match exactly. This takes thirty seconds and is the only reliable check. Blockchain transactions are permanent — there's no undo.

Can this be used for NFTs?

Technically yes. If you paste the wallet address on the relevant network (Ethereum for most NFTs, Solana for others), it works as a receive address for any compatible asset on that network, including NFTs. It's not purpose-built for NFTs but it works the same way.
