Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Link and Text mode?
Link opens a digital ticket page or confirmation URL — useful if your ticketing system has a web-based pass. Text encodes a booking reference or ticket ID directly — useful if your entry staff scan codes with an app that reads the text value.
Are these secure enough for real events?
They're reliable and don't expire, but they don't have built-in one-time-use logic. For events where duplicate entry is a concern, use your own check-in software to validate each unique code as it's scanned. The QR code is the transport mechanism — validation is on your end.
Can I change the ticket ID after distributing it?
No. Static code — ID is fixed. Finalise your booking references before generating and distributing codes.
Will the code scan if the ticket is slightly damaged?
Ticket codes use error correction level H (30%) — the highest setting. They’re robust against minor smudges, creases, and screen glare. Designed for the real conditions of event entry queues.
How do guests present their ticket?
On screen (phone) or printed. Entry staff scan with a phone camera or a handheld scanner. If it’s a link, the staff see the digital pass. If it’s a text code, the ID displays for manual or app-based verification.
Is there a per-ticket fee?
No. Generate as many unique codes as you need, free. No limits, no subscription.
Is ticket data stored by QR Code Zebra?
No. Generated locally. Event names, dates, and ticket IDs never reach our servers.
PNG or SVG for tickets?
PNG for digital tickets sent by email or displayed on a phone — universally compatible. SVG for professionally printed tickets where crispness matters.
