Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit my contact details after printing?

Not on the same code — these are static QR codes, so everything is baked in at the moment you download. If your number changes or you get a new job title, just come back, fill in your updated details, and generate a fresh one. It takes about thirty seconds and there's nothing to cancel or update in an account.

Is my information sent to QR Code Zebra?

No. Everything happens locally in your browser — your name, phone number, email — none of it ever leaves your device. There's no server receiving your data, no database storing it. Once you close the tab, it's gone. That's by design.

Does vCard work on both iPhone and Android?

Yes, universally. The vCard 3.0 format is the standard that every smartphone contact app understands. When someone scans, their phone recognises the data and asks if they want to save a new contact. No extra apps needed, no setup required — just point and scan.

I filled in every field. Will it still scan properly?

It should, but keep one thing in mind: more data means a denser QR pattern. A fully packed vCard printed smaller than 2.5 cm can be tricky for older phone cameras. If you're printing on a business card, skip the Note field if it's not essential — it keeps the code clean and reliable.

Why does the preview show an avatar but the saved contact doesn't?

The avatar circle in the preview shows your initials as a visual aid — it's not encoded into the QR code. When someone saves your contact, their phone will generate its own initial placeholder or leave it blank. If they want a photo, they can add one themselves once they've saved you.

Is there a limit on how many I can make?

None at all. Generate as many as you need — one for each team member, one for each language, one for each role. Since nothing is stored on our end, there's no account to fill up or quota to hit.

Do I need an account to use this?

No account, no signup, no email required. Fill in your details, download your code, done. That's the whole process.

What format should I download for a print shop?

SVG every time. It's a vector format — no pixelation at any size. Hand it to a print shop and it'll look perfect on a business card or a conference banner. If you're just using it digitally (in a PDF, on a website), PNG works fine too.
