Frequently Asked Questions

Can I link to any URL?

Any valid URL. Blog post, product page, Google Maps link, PDF hosted on Drive, booking page — if it has a URL, this tool handles it.

Can I change the URL after printing?

No. Static code — URL is fixed. If the destination changes, generate a new code. This is why we recommend linking to a page you control and can update the content of, rather than a third-party URL that might change.

Do I need to type https://?

No. Type whatever you have — we add https:// if it's missing.

Does the code expire?

Never. No servers, no subscriptions, no expiry. As long as the website it points to exists, the code works.

Can I track scans?

Not through QR Code Zebra — static codes have no tracking. To monitor traffic, add a UTM parameter to your URL before generating (e.g. ?utm_source=qr&utm_medium=print). Google Analytics on your website will then show visitors from that source.

Why doesn't the page title appear in the code?

It's display-only — for the preview card so you can keep track of what you're making. The code encodes the URL only, keeping the pattern as simple and scannable as possible.

What's the most common use case?

Business cards, restaurant table cards, product packaging, event flyers, and "How to find us" signs. Any situation where you want to bridge print and digital without asking someone to type a URL.

SVG or PNG?

SVG for print — vector format, no blurring at any size. PNG for digital use in documents or presentations.
