House Sitter QR Card Generator

Create a printable sheet of instruction cards for house sitters, pet sitters, or Airbnb guests. Label plants, appliances, and pets, and let sitters scan to read specific instructions on their phones.

How to create a house sitter instruction sheet

  1. Enter your global details like Your Name and Emergency Phone.
  2. Select a category and click "Add Instruction Card" (up to 8 cards per page).
  3. Expand each card to configure its specific title, instructions, or URLs.
  4. Check the visual layout on the preview sheet.
  5. Download the sheet as a high-quality PNG or vector SVG with dotted cut guides.
  6. Print, cut the cards, and place them exactly where needed around your home.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this work?

You build a set of small instruction cards - one for plants, one for the cat, one for the mail, and so on. Each card gets its own QR code. Print the sheet, cut out the cards, and place each one next to the thing it describes. Your house sitter scans a card to get the full instructions on their phone.

Do I need a website for this?

No. Each card can either link to a web page (a longer guide or video) or simply contain the instruction text directly in the QR code. Without a URL, the instructions appear on the sitter's phone when they scan - no internet or hosting required.

What kinds of cards can I make?

The tool includes categories for plants, pets, mail, heating and air conditioning, appliances, WiFi, bins and recycling, emergency contacts, and custom cards for anything else. Each category has its own icon so cards are easy to tell apart at a glance.

Can I include WiFi details?

Yes - a WiFi card can hold your network name and password as text, or you can link to fuller instructions. For a scannable auto-connect WiFi code, use our dedicated WiFi QR generator and link to it, or add the details as text on the card.

Is this useful for Airbnb hosts?

Very. Instead of one overwhelming welcome binder, you can place small scannable cards exactly where guests need them - by the coffee machine, the thermostat, the bins, the entry door. Guests get the right instruction at the right moment.

Are my home details private?

Yes. Everything is generated in your browser - card titles, instructions, contacts, and any URLs never reach our servers. The cards are created entirely on your device. Naturally, anyone who can scan a printed card can read what is on it, so place them inside your home, not on public display.

How many cards can I make at once?

You can build a set of up to eight cards in one sheet, laid out for easy A4 printing. Make as many sheets as you need - there's no limit and no cost.

What size are the printed cards?

The sheet is laid out two cards per row on A4, making each card roughly 9 × 6 cm - large enough for a clear QR code and readable text. Download the SVG for crisp printing and cut along the guides.
